	Henry Winkler Comes To Sandwich! We could not have had a better visit with Henry Winkler. If you ever have a chance to see him speak, you simply have to. (We would love love love to have him back here, but you never know!) We thought he was warm, genuine, funny and inspiring. The 800 people who came ot the event agreed! 	Lisa Brown, Lil Artist Storytime Children's book author and illustrator Lisa Brown joined us for a special storytime. She read from two of her picture books and drew for a crowd of preschoolers. We then painted sugar cookies and everyone had a chance to draw a picture of their favorite things.
	Jeff Kinney Brings The Wimpy Kid To Sandwich! We had a great visit with Jeff Kinney, author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. About 400 people poured in to the Sandwich High School auditorium (we dream about being able to host such events here at the Bookshop, but seriously....what bookstore has space for 400 people to sit down???) He was such a good sport that he came to the Bookshop after the program, had his picture taken with our statue and then signed 4 cases worth of books! Thank you!
	Learn About Lambs Day April Vacation 2008 Everyone needs something fun to do during April school vacation. When gas is $3.50 a gallon, it's even better to find something to do close to home! What is more Spring-like than learning about lambs? Toni Malouf from Knot A Thought Farm in West Barnstable was kind enough to bring 3 of her lambs for us to see and learn about. Miss Edye then read some lamb-themed stories. Beautiful day, fun event!
	Fancy Nancy Tea Party 2008 (held at Beth's Special Teas in Sandwich) We had 2 seatings of girls with their moms and grandmothers. Here is the 3:30pm group .	...and here is the 2:00pm seating
	Miss Edye read Fancy Nancy Bonjour Butterfly	Everyone enjoyed tea (served in Nancy Titcomb's antique teacup collection) and butterfly cupcakes.
	Our "french exchange students" Coco and Chloe gave us all a lesson in french. I am sure that all of our guests will remember the french word for butterfly!	Some girls brought along their very own "posh puppy"!
